Currently, Universal Cable has two manufacturing plants located in Pandan and Plentong. Both plants are on-par with international manufacturing standards and are equipped with industry-best cabling technology and trained manpower.

 

These facilities pave way for the production of various types of cables and wires, and provide us with the capacity to manufacture customised solutions for our industrial clients.

Since operations commenced in the 1980s, our Pandan plant has churned out a wide range of products for diverse industries from power to oil & gas with thanks to our Tampoi plant which was established in 1967 where most of our aluminium-based products were made that granted us the specialisation that has put Universal Cable on the map for aluminium-based cables in local and international markets.

Universal Cable’s Plentong plant commenced operations in 1995 and is specially-equipped to manufacture cables that are high in demand by authorities of electricity supply.

 

Type of cables manufactured:

    • Medium Voltage and High Voltage cables up to 275kV, with maximum conductor size of up to 2500mm² for both Copper and Aluminum conductors.

We understand that there may not be a ‘one size fits all’ solution when it comes to industrial cables and wires. To accommodate the different requirements of various clients, Universal Cable also provides cable customisation services.
